Infrastructure

The systems
your building runs on.

Networking and Wi-Fi, security cameras, door access, telephone systems, and alarms, designed, installed, and supported by our own technicians. We serve St. Thomas, Elgin County, London, and Southwestern Ontario, and every system we install is one we can service in person.

What we install

Five systems, one provider

Most premises rely on a separate vendor for each of these. We design, install, and support all five, so they share one network and there is a single point of contact for service.

Networking & Wi-Fi

Ubiquiti UniFi gateways, switching, and access points with full-building coverage, separate networks for staff, guests, and devices, labelled structured cabling, and remote monitoring. We assess your internet connection, coordinate with the provider, and add 5G or Starlink failover where downtime isn't acceptable.

Security cameras

UniFi Protect systems that record locally to equipment you own, with high-resolution video, people and vehicle detection, and live view from a phone or workstation anywhere. No recurring cloud fees for recording.

Door access control

UniFi Access readers, electric locks, and intercoms. Staff enter by card, fob, PIN, or phone, doors follow a schedule, credentials are revoked instantly, and every entry is logged with a camera clip where cameras are installed.

Telephone systems

FreePBX and 3CX systems together with the telephone service itself. We provide the SIP trunks, numbers, and calling plans, port your existing numbers, and support both the system and the service on a single monthly invoice.

Alarm & security systems

Honeywell/Resideo and Paradox panels with mobile app control and no-cost self-monitoring as standard, professional monitoring available. Existing panels can usually be upgraded with a communicator module for app access, without a full reinstall.

Complete projects

For a new building, a renovation, or a full replacement, we scope all of the required systems together and deliver them as a single project.

Local service

Installed by our own technicians. Supported by the same people.

National providers ship equipment and route support through a call centre. We are based in St. Thomas. We install every system ourselves, document it, and remain responsible for it afterward. When on-site service is required, a technician who already knows your premises attends.

This is the physical and network layer of a building: cabling, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, cameras, doors, phones, and alarms. For clinics we manage, it's included under operations. For everyone else, it's a standalone service, and we work alongside whoever supports your computers and software.

What you can expect

  • A site visit before every quote, so pricing reflects the actual building
  • Clean, labelled installations with documentation provided to you
  • Remote monitoring and management of every system we install
  • On-site service throughout St. Thomas, Elgin County, and London
  • No licensing fees on UniFi hardware, and no long-term contracts on equipment you own

How it works

From site survey to ongoing support

1

Design

We survey the premises, confirm requirements such as door count, cabling, and Wi-Fi coverage, and plan the systems around how the business operates. You get an itemized quote.
2

Installation

Cabling, mounting, rack work, and configuration, completed to schedule with minimal disruption. Where electrical or fire code work is required, we coordinate the licensed trades.
3

Support

Remote management, scheduled updates, and direct access to a technician when a problem arises. Optional managed support is quoted separately as a monthly service.
4

Expansion

Additional cameras, doors, phones, or locations are added to the existing system without replacing it.

Common questions

What customers usually ask us

Can telephones, cameras, and door readers share the same network?
Yes. That is the intended design. A single PoE switch powers all of these devices, and VLANs keep them separated for security and performance. Because we install all of them, an alarm event can trigger camera recording and arming can follow the door access schedule.
Can you improve our existing Wi-Fi or cameras without replacing everything?
In many cases, yes. We begin with a survey to identify where the problems actually lie. Serviceable cabling is reused, and older DVR systems are replaced with a modern IP system on the existing runs where possible.
Can we keep our telephone numbers?
Yes. Numbers in Canada are portable. We port them to our service, schedule the cutover date, and keep the existing service in place until the new system is operational.
Do you offer alarm monitoring?
Yes, in two forms. Self-monitoring is included at no cost: the system notifies you directly through the mobile app and you decide how to respond. Professional monitoring by a central station is available as a monthly option.
Is there a monthly fee?
UniFi hardware carries no licensing fees and the equipment is yours. Telephone service, professional alarm monitoring, backup internet plans, and optional managed support are monthly services, each quoted separately and up front.
Do you provide computer and IT support as well?
Not as part of this service. We install and support the infrastructure: cabling, network, internet connection, cameras, doors, phones, and alarms. If you have an IT provider, we work alongside them and document the network so they can support what runs on it. If you're a clinic that wants the whole operation handled, including IT, see our operations service.
